Baska Voda, a town and harbour with a population of 2000, on the Makarska littoral, 9.5 km northwest of Makarska, at the foot of Mt. Biokovo. Once just a fishing town, this idyllic spot is now modern tourist attraction.

Baska voda is an ideal holiday destination not only because of its sun, transparent sea and beautiful beaches among pine woods, but also because of wide offer of apartments, food, sport, recreation and historical sites. Baska Voda offers attractive cultural and entertainment programs. Very interesting are its religious feasts. Entertainment opportunities in the evening and night hours include various programs in bars, discotheques and on summer terraces.

The first tourist facility in Baska Voda was opened in the thirties, and tourism has recently become the major economic sector. There are some nice hotels like Hotel Horizont, Hotel Millenium and Hotel Croatia, and also a tourist settlement Urania.
