On the Makarska Coastline near Makarska lies the village of Gradac, which is also the southernmost tourist haven in Croatia. Gradac and its idyllic location along the Adriatic Sea, is a great spot for beach goers and water sports fanatics. Gradac also gives its tourists a peek into its rich history, as historians have discovered ruins dating back to the 2nd and 3rd century Roman Empire. The Neretva Valley, which is also near Gradac, gives good photo opportunities for visitors who want to learn more about Mediterranean history, as there are remains of the wetlands which were significant in the development of many civilizations in the region.
